Creative Design and Structure was instructed to prepare detailed drawings and structural calculations for the conversion of a barn to 6 new dwellings at Grazeley Green, Reading. The planning approval was already gained for this development and we provided the Architectural and Structural Engineering services for the Building Control and Construction stages.
The development consisted of four 4-bedroom houses and two 2-bedroom houses with associated car parking and landscaping. There was a natural stream flowing around the complete site, which required an extension to the existing bridge to give access to the courtyard. The development was carried out under a design and build contract.
The development was completed in June 2020.
